Girls into Tech

Female student using electronic engineering equipment

The tech industry today offers a creative, flexible and highly rewarding career pathway, and it is estimated that around 80% of future jobs will require STEM skills. However, only 27% of young women say they’d consider a career in technology, and only 3% would say it’s their first choice of career. We know that the tech industry requires people of all skills and backgrounds, and we are committed to help build a diverse and inclusive tech workforce of the future.

This virtual event will give current Year 12 and 13 students an overview of life in the tech industry.

This session will specifically focus on hearing from some of our fantastic Alumni who are working in the tech industry.

Discover more about what it is to be an electronic engineer or computer scientist and how they are solving real-world problems. Ask them questions about their degree programmes, their journey to university and their career since graduating.
