Title: Learning Techniques for Automated Detection and Tracking of Drone

Speaker: Xindi Zhang

Abstract:
Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV), Remotely Piloted Air Systems (RPAS),also known as DRONES. The threat associated with the misuse drones for malicious and terrorist activity has been increased. So, it is necessary to ensure the safety and security of safe deployment of commercial drones. Our goal is to develop an intelligent system that enables automatic, precise, objective and reproducible detection of drone and precise tracking of the drone’s movement.
Our system has three parts: the machine learning algorithm for drone detection and tracking, the pan-tilt-zoom camera for capturing video, the combination control system for camera movement to tracking object continuously.
