Queen Mary Student Teaching Awards won by EECS Staff

Congratulations to Richard Kelly who won the QMSU Support Staff Member of the Year Award and Andrew McPherson who won the Postgraduate Teaching Award

Two EECS staff members were presented with teaching awards at the Draper’s Hall last week: Richard Kelly won the the QMSU support Staff Member of the Year Award for his work managing the MAT Doctoral Training Centre and supporting the MAT PhD students; Dr Andrew McPherson won the Postgraduate Teaching Award. Two other members of EECS staff were runners up in these student union awards voted by Queen Mary students across the entire university: Dr John Schormans was one of two runners up for the Postgraduate Research Supervisor and Dr Chrisantha Fernando was one of two runners up for the Teacher of the Year award.

These awards are in addition to the Science and Engineering Faculty awards announced earlier this year: Dr Michael Chai won an outstanding contribution to teaching award and Dr Chrisantha Fernando won an outstanding contribution to research award.
