Research Group: Networks

Kishan Patel received both BSc and MSc degrees in Computer Science with Business Management and Software Engineering in 2012 and 2013 respectively, from Queen Mary University of London. He is currently a second year PhD student within the Networks research group at Queen Mary and is currently working on distributed measurement, monitoring and data processing systems for large-scale networks.

Research Group: Risk and Information Management (RIM)

Anthony Constantinou is Post-Doctoral Researcher in the School of EECS at Queen Mary University of London, and Associate Consultant at Agena Ltd. He specialises in quantitative risk analysis using causal probabilistic models (Bayesian networks) for decision making under uncertainty, with a focus on real world applications; from sports prediction to forensic medical sciences. Previously, he was Post-Doctoral Research Fellow at Barts and The London School of Medicine (QMUL). He holds a PhD in Bayesian Networks (QMUL), an MSc in Artificial Intelligence with Robotics (Hertfordshire) and a BSc in Computer Science (Hertfordshire).

Research Group: Multimedia & Vision (MMV)

Saverio G. Blasi received a BSc degree in Control Systems Engineering in 2006 and an MSc in Automation Engineering in 2008, from the University of Rome (Italy), and an MSc in Signal Processing for Multimedia Technologies in 2010 from Kings College London. In 2014 he completed a PhD in Electronic Engineering within the Multimedia and Vision Research Group at Queen Mary University of London. He is currently a post-doctoral research assistant in Queen Mary University of london, mainly working on video and image processing, transmission and compression.

Research Group: Centre for Digital Music (C4DM)

Sebastian Ewert received the M.Sc./Diploma degree and Ph.D. degree in computer science from the University of Bonn, Germany, in 2007 and 2012, respectively. Since 2012, he has been a postdoctoral researcher at the Centre for Digital Music, Queen Mary University of London. His research interests include audio signal processing and machine learning with applications to automated music processing, in particular signal modeling, source separation and semantic audio analysis.

Research Group: Cognitive Science (COGSCI)

Sascha Griffiths received an MA degree from Bielefeld University and a PhD from the University of Kent. He has been a postdoctoral research associate in the cognitive science group at Queen Mary University of London since 2014. He works on natural language processing within the computational creativity project ConCreTe. Before coming to London, he was a research associate working on social robotics first at Bielefeld University and then at the Technische Universität München (University of Technology, Munich).

Research Group: Computer Vision

Zhenyong Fu received his PhD (2012) in Computer Science within Intelligent Human-Computer Interaction Group at Shanghai Jiao Tong University. He is currently a post-doctoral research assistant in computer vision group at Queen Mary University of London. He is co-supervised by Dr. Tao Xiang and Prof. Shaogang Gong. His research interests are computer vision and machine learning. He is involved in an European computer vision project, Smart UNmanned aerial vehicle sensor Network for detection of border crossing and illegal entrY (SUNNY).

Max O. Munoz received the M.Eng. degree in electronic engineering from Queen Mary, University of London (QMUL), London, U.K., in 2008 and the Ph.D. degree in body-centric wireless communications from QMUL’s Antennas and Electromagnetics Research Group in 2013. Currently, he is a Postdoctoral Research Assistant at QMUL and is actively exploring innovative solutions for future flexible and conformal wearable technologies.
