The architecture of web systems has changed over the last ten years with much greater client functionality possible and therefore the option of reducing the complexity of the server components. The module will cover these developments, comparing architectures and analyzing trends, including issues of web application security and performance. Technologies used will include Python, Django, Javascript, jQuery and HTML5.
